New CEO for Gebwell appointed – Tuure Stenberg resigns from operational duties

Gebwell Ltd, a company specialized in environmentally friendly and energy-efficient heating and cooling systems for properties replaces its CEO. Tuure Stenberg, who has been running the company for eight years, leaves the position as Janne Rahunen, the Deputy CEO, has been appointed the new CEO. He will take up his new position immediately.

- I thank Tuure for his achievements. Under his leadership, Gebwell has grown from a garage company from Leppävirta to a major European player in the energy technology industry. The company is in great condition, but we considered that the company's future in terms of the active developing process requires now new energy and new perspectives, comments Timo Hulkkonen, Chairman of the Board.

The reasons for Stenberg’s withdraw are related to the strategic differences between him and the rest of the board and the company does not comment any further. Stenberg will continue as a co-owner of the company.

Janne Rahunen takes the position immediately

The new CEO, Janne Rahunen, has been working for Gebwell throughout the company's history, serving previously as sales and finance manager and Deputy CEO. Thus, there is no need for a transition period and he will be able to start his new role immediately.

With my expertise, I want to ensure that we can continue growing by investing in operations that strengthens the ties between partner network, permanent product development and high product quality, Rahunen says.

Founded in 2005, the company’s headquartered locates in Leppävirta, where products are designed and manufactured. In addition, the company has subsidiaries in Poland and Sweden. The company's turnover in 2020 was approximately 36 million and operating profit of EUR 2 million.
